DH JUST GOT A JOB OFFER!!!
The newly hired superintendent called the house and I gave him his cell number, and dh came home to tell me 
i had already picked up and wrote a message in a congratulations card for him, so today seemed to be the day! He had a few tears when he realized that I already had the card waiting for him, and there is a huge weight lifted off his shoulders today!
it is the job in his hometown if you were wondering....so we don't have to buy a new house, and can move in whenever! And we have someone doing a walk through on our house later today. We haven't listed it yet, but we probably will in the next two weeks or so.

Yes! Now don't get me wrong, it needs major updates, but it is the house that dh grew up in, so I LOVE that! It is an old farm house with 5 bedrooms and several outbuildings. With a big front porch. Gotta love a porch!

That's fantastic! It sounds like the nepotism thing really worked out for your DH and you. Start packing! When does he start? How far do you have to move?

Seriously, though, this is awesome news! I'm so happy for your whole family!
Well, currently dh is under contract through the end of June, but was told he can work from home. So technically we could go any time as long as we maintain an Internet connection so he could keep in communication. He already has the end-of-year reports done, so he doesn't have much "work" to actually do. I am pretty sure we will do some work to the house though before we move in. I think the plan is to plate the plumbing and replace the well pump, and it would be nice to paint and put new carpet in before we move in too!
