Status Update: What is going on in your cycle or where are you in your process?
QOTW (from a member): After 5 days of stims, at my first monitoring appointment, my E2 was 1560 (much higher than the 400 they were looking for), and I already had a couple really mature follicles: 24, 20, 16, 14 and maybe a couple much smaller ones. Our IVF cycle became an IUI. Sigh. I'm upset we didn't even make it past the first monitoring appointment, but we're looking at this IUI as a "bonus" chance we didn't expect to have and as one of our best chances yet. (IVF#1 had been our last ditch effort.)
Has anyone had a similar experience?
I know PhillyJ33 said she also responded too quickly, and it looks like that happened with Golfrgal, too. The nurse keeps telling me it's a good thing I responded well to the meds, but I can't help but wonder how IVF could be successful for us in the future, and what they can do to help more of my follicles grow at the same and slower pace.

Update: just chugging along here, started Lupron last Friday and will add in Vivelle this Friday. Lining check is scheduled for 6/28.
QOTW: this never happened to me, but I was always low-stim. I believe I recall on the Network 54 board (https://www.network54.com/Forum/209394/) that many ladies there would add into their protocol something that slowed their follicle growth down to allow the others to catch up, if there were some too far ahead. I just can't think of what it's called right now.

I'm on CD3 and they have me on birth control. I'm still waiting on my DE calendar.
Update: Pretty much same old same old. H did his semen freeze this week, I a got my meds sometime last week and go in for a p4 check next Weds and will likely start Lupron that night.
QOTW:I don't have enough experience with that to answer sorry.

Update: Our ODWU at CCRM discovered we also have MF. DH was diagnosed with a balanced translocation of Chromosome 5 and 10. What this means in terms of cycling is it causes RPL d/t aneuploidy. I really wanted to try a naturopathic doctor for a few months before moving onto DE, but that is no longer an option with our new dx. Our new plan is DE with PGD. Now I really want to cycle with SDFC, back out of CCRM since we are no longer considering OE IVF. My understanding is SDFC has an awesome DE program, I even found a donor I really like, but I have one huge hurdle... DH is done traveling to do fertility treatments. He wants to cycle locally. FX I can talk him into cycling at SDFC
QOTW: I do not have any experience with E2 being too high!

Status: Got a BFN yesterday after our IUI cycle -- which started out IVF. Feeling flat. But we will meet with RE on Tuesday to plan some next steps, so the hope is starting to lift me up a bit. I'm happy to have good company on this IF rollercoaster ride!
