Hi all! I've never posted to this board before, but I have a question for those of you who are one and one by choice.
Did you always plan to be one and done? Or did you initially plan of trying for more LO's, but changed your mind after having the first?
I'm curious because my H and I always discussed trying for two children, possibly even three, but I'm not so sure that I want to anymore.
I'm not sure if it's just the newness of motherhood overwhelming me or if this is a feeling that will last, but I wanted to get some insight from others.

We had disussed being OAD before LO arrived due to my H's age but then agreed to talk about it more afterward. Once LO got here and we saw how hard babies are and how much having him rattled us (and our relationship - things are better now), we decided that we would definitely be OAD.
Pre-Mommy days I had no real idea what it took to parent a child. So, probably like many, I originally said I wanted 2-3 kids. Then DH and I had our first and I really enjoyed all the time I got to spend just with DS.
As DS got older I started looking at reality, how expensive and time consuming it would be to parent multiple children. DS is a handful, some days I feel like I'm parenting multiple kids. Then I went back to work after SAH for 3 years and there is no way in the world I would I want to add another child into the mix, mentally or financially.

We'd originally planned on two.
There are many reasons that we changed our minds, but we did wait until LO was about 18 months old to start seriously talking about it. We made a point of not making actual decisions about *anything* while sleep deprived and otherwise overwhelmed by the new experience.
