LO has always been very good about eating/trying solids. She just never ate a whole lot of it. It would take us two or three tries to get through a 4 oz. container. Over the past couple of days, she is wanting more and more. She is eating up to 5 or 6 oz. at lunch and/or dinner. Is that typical? For breakfast, she has 1 1/2 tbsps of oatmeal mixed with juice/fruit.
I worry that she's eating too much food, but keeps opening her mouth for more. I'm just wondering how much other babies are eating at this age. She has her next appointment on the 25th, so I'll definitely talk to her pediatrician about it as well.
Oh, and she also has between 24 and 30 oz. of formula a day as well.
Re: 8 1/2 Months: Amount of solids?
This sounds about like my guy - he's 0 percentile weight and has about the same about of milk and three 2-4 oz meals per day. I think as long as your LO is still eating enough milk you are ok.
