Hi 3T! (kinda longish)

I did an intro over here months ago, but I discouraged myself from posting here so I tend to stick to TTGP. It didn't help I didn't really know board etiquette here regarding pictures of children and posting a warning and such in post title. I have a better grasp on it now and opt out of having it in my sig at all.

I am 30, DH is 25 we have been TTC#2 for 30 months. I went in April for my annual and told my DR. what has been going on and she was on board immediately. I told her not to give a blanket "lose weight" statement, that I knew losing weight was important all around for my health, she told me drop 20lb and she would start me on Metformin, she said that I am not ovulating (I figured as much). My Dr said she would do DH's SA anytime he was ready. We did full fasting lab work, my results were all normal. Dr said my cholesterol is a little high and prescribed me vitamin D since most Alaskans have a Vitamin D deficiency due to lack of daylight/sunshine in the winter. So my Dx is anovulatory/unexplained as of right now.

Any suggestions on what I should be asking about test wise going forward?

I am struggling with the weight loss, I have been walking to and from work for almost 3 weeks and gained over 2 lbs. Lean muscle right? Grr.

Anyway, I am Kassie; I make frequent spelling and grammatical errors, I am slightly snarky, yet 100% compassionate and pretty easy going. I frequently pretend that I am tough as nails but I am a huge melted marshmallow inside.

Hi Spooks, welcome over here! Sorry the weight loss has been so tough. I've been stalled at 4 lbs lost for like 2 months now very frustrating.nbsp;As for tests, since you already had b/w and YH will be having his SA, I think and HSG and pelvic exam/ultrasound would be next.nbsp; However, I can't tell if you are seeing an RE or not. If not an RE, you may want to wait to do the rest of the testing with him/her since I've heard many stories of ppl getting all their testing done with an OB just to have the RE repeat.nbsp;GL with the weight loss and getting started on Metformin! Hopefully those two things will help regulate you.

Hi and welcome to the board. I am sorry you have to be here and hope your stay is short.

I can relate to the trouble losing weight. I wish I had the magic solution. After my PCOS dx I looked into the glycemic load and glycemic index diets. If I am disciplined enough to stick with it, it seems to work for me. FX you find something that works for you soon.

Welcome. Seems like you are on the right track. Just set up a HSG and a Vaginal Ultrasound. The HSG isn't fun but necessary to check for blocked tubes. Definitely have your DH due his SA soon. Best of luck!

Hi! Sorry you have to be here, but welcome regardless! What worked for me to FINALLY lose the sh*tty pounds I had packed on was to completely change/shock my body with a workout- Crossfit. However, maybe yoga/pilates and/or kickboxing might help? And yes, muscle definitely weighs more than fat. Have you tried measuring instead of weighing yourself?

Well lookie who it is? One of my favorite TTGPers!

I'm sorry you're here. Yes, the HSG and SA will be next. I don't have any advice on the weight loss problem. I know different things work for different people. For me, I recently made a diet change and have strictly limited gluten intake. I apparently am sensitive to it. In doing that, I started eating a lot healthier. Plus, I started the couch 2 5k program again and I'm feeling a lot better.
