S/O Names, Got A Bad One For You

Cancer. He is named after the zodiac sign of his deceased grandmother... But still... Cancer? It's just not a nice name... At all. It conjures up nothing but negative associations ( at least for me).  I get wanting to honor his grandmother, but there had to be a better way. I'm all for different names, but this one just seems wrong.

    That was my reaction too.  What moronic parents. If I were that kid I would be pisssed ( when old enough to know what it meant) at them for that!

    That is just horrible. And insensitive as well!! Cancer is one of the worst WORDS in the world, and unthinkable as a name! Might as well name your child AIDS or maybe Disease!

    WTH?  Why would you every name your kid that!  Like you said most people think of cancer which actually kills people and not the zodiac sign.  Poor boy.
