HELP 

Ok so I want as little baby gear as possible!

Do I need a swing if the pack and play I like has a rocking seat?

I was looking at the Fisher price Cradle N' Swing "my little snuggabunny

And the Graco Pack N' Play

Then I was wondering do I even need a pack n' play? Or do I get the Pack N' Play with the bassinet and not the changer and seat?

Do I skip them both and just get the Rock N' Play?!

    I guess I would evaluate your situation as to why you need a PnP.  Are you planning on co-rooming with a baby in the PnP?  Do you do a lot of traveling and/or staying over at other people's houses?  Will you intend to use it as a containment area?  Do you have a multi-level house?  If you don't really need it for those purposes, I'd skip it all together or buy one later if situation changes.  As far as that rocking napper, since you have to manually rock it, it doesn't really replace the function or benefits of a swing.  

    If you are planning on setting up a nursery, I would consider a Rock n Play, swing and maybe a bouncer for flexibility, portability and options.

    If you need the PnP, I'd skip the Rock n Play right now, but I would consider getting a swing.

    Ugh. We are in the process of buying a house. I know I have time to decide but like to try and figure out my options!
    I would like to have baby in our room for the first few weeks. But think be pnp is big and would rather a bassinet I guess. Would like the pnp for when he/she is a little older.
    So much stuff!

    I've never really understood why a pack and play is needed, unless you travel and need a place for your baby to sleep.  I would get a rock and play sleeper, if you want the baby in your room, since it is so much smaller and portable to other rooms of your house.  I would also get a portable swing for naps and as an activity (the portable ones are so much smaller and can easily move to other rooms of your house also.) 

     Just my 2 cents :)
