When choosing the name for your next child/children how much does their other(s) affect your choice? Would you get rid of a name/choose a name if it Started with the same letter, Ended with the same letter, Rhymed/Sounded similar etc. Do you want the names to sound good together?

Re: Choosing Sibsets
We nixed every name starting with the same letter as DS. I know a lot of people don't mind sibling names with the same initials but it's just not for us. Maybe if we had a third we would reuse one of the letters but two in a row seems too matchy to me.
I like names to be similar in style but mostly we just went with what we loved.
Loss #6 2014 Loss #7 (chemical) 2014
~DS Born! 2009~
~DD Born! 2013~
Same initials would not bother me. First same initial is something I am trying to avoid, but if I absolutely loved a name I would not let it stop me. I would just ensure that baby #3 starts with a different initial. Now if we could find a B name for this baby, we could have an ABCD in our house ;-)
I am looking for something with a similar style that isn't too match or rhymey, but I don't have any specific criteria. I just want to love the name.
I despise matchy/rhyme-y names for siblings. So we've nixed names from our list because of that (DS is Linus. Alice and Iris have been removed because they're too rhyme-y for me.
I also hate duggar themed first initials. So even though we're only on kid number 2, I avoid other L names. Which has actually been easy because there are no other L names on our long list.
In our case, we've also eliminated names that we like but are cheesy because they come from Peanut's (Charlie and Lucy, to be specific.)
I just want to give you a world as beautiful as you are to me.
I would not do same initials or cutesy matching. I also don't want them to rhyme but I do want them to sound nice together.
rhymey: no, please
similar endings: I'd try to stay away from.
Obviously, my two daughter's names start with the same sound. However, I probably wouldn't have done that if Celeste had survived. I probably wouldn't even have Sabrina, so it would've been a moot point.
If we have another girl, my naming criteria is basically the same...our last name ends in an "e" sound, so I don't want my daughter to have a name with an "e" sound on the end, or a name that can easily be nicknamed to an "e" sound (there are a couple of exceptions)
Sabrina Corinne (2 syllable last name)
Then names I'm considering:
Aurora Simone (I know this can be shortened to "Rory" but we're OK with it)
Helena Simone
Louisa Simone (not too sure on the flow for this one...)
I like the three syllable first name ending in the "a" with a simple two syllable middle name. I think they compliment Sabrina's name very well. And sticking with the French MN.
For a boy, I'm a little more open. I love the name Sebastian, but I don't think I like it with Sabrina. We still haven't come up with any boys' names we love. We'll just have to sound it out and see where we land.
For me, it plays a big part.
Future children will have names that don't start with the same letter, don't rhyme, AND don't have rhyming nicknames (Like William and Lily - Billy and Lily).
I also want them to fit together. Callum was on our list for a boy, but we ended up going with a more common name. Now Callum is off the list for future children, because he would seem the odd man out in a family with more classic names (like Sarah, David, and Michael)
