Has anyone heard that excess amniotic fluid can lead to uterine rupture in a RCS? I had a dr apt today and we scheduled my c/s. I was trying to push for a midway point between 39-40 wks, and he almost let me have it, but then said he needed to do it at 39 wks exactly because my u/s last week showed excessive AF.
I'm wondering if this is really a thing, or if he is just a cranky old grouch set in his ways and wants to be in total control of the situation (rather than me possibly going into labor on my own and maybe trying a VBAC.) DS2 was born at 40 wk exactly and DH said the OR nurses made a big deal about how much AF I had and yet I didn't rupture by waiting til 40 wks.
So my RCS is scheduled for July 6th. OMG! That's 3 1/2 wks! Yima!
