So I am 14 weeks and will be a FTM. Have looked at lots of an workouts and all say not to lay flat on back. This am in my bodypump class asked my instr about abs and he said I should be ok to lay on back for crunches. I did put my jacket under one side to keep me from being flat. So am confused am I ok to do reg crunches or should I do them on the ball? My instructor is pretty good and has me on an incline bench etc for other floor work so I was surprised by this. Suggestions? Thanks!!

When all else fails, ask your OB. I am 23 weeks, and still lay on my back occasionally, although I cannot even fathom doing crunches!
