What people say vent...

Went to a birthday party today with my 2 year old and 4 year old. It was at a friends house who has a pool. I'm 35w 3d with my twin girls. Only about 5 kids were there. Spent the whole time chasing after my kids and making sure no one drowned. It kinda sucked. The other kids there are all only children. At the end of the party, one of the moms turns to me and says "how are you going to do this with 4". Clearly she was meaning that I had barely kept up with 2. I just looked at her and said "we'll, I guess I won't leave the house again."
I mean, come on! I'm 35 weeks with twins! I'm not exactly agile right now! I won't be huge pregnant next time. If one more person wants to point out that my life is going to be hard and crazy, I'm going to get violent. Good lord.
And I say this as I see my kids sitting on the couch together holding hands... Real horrible.
Ok, I'm taking a nap now.

    I'm am going to take the angle that this woman was feeling overwhelmed with her one and is just projecting her inadequacies on you thinking she would lose her sht with two let alone four ;. That's usually where my snide comments from other moms are coming from. Or at least that's what I tell myself so I don't get too angry lol!

    I got those comments all the time... Now I am pretty overwhelmed but just tell people it is actually easier than expected!

    My DH and I get that all the time too and it drives us crazy! We have two boys 5 and 2, that we are always chasing around. And there's always that comment from some jerk "now add two more!" and "I just don't know how you're going to do it!"

    Um, you get mad props for handling a pool party with a two and four year old at this point in the pregnancy.  That is seriously impressive.
