Two Thing Tuesday

1. Do you wear glasses/contacts or do you have good vision?

2. How many children did you picture yourself having when you were young?

    1. I have horrible vision. There are times where I forget I have my contacts in, put my glasses on, and think something is horribly wrong. Proceed to take my glasses on and think that I've been miraculously healed because I can see!!!! Then get disappointed that I have contacts in...

    2. 6. Yup I was crazy.

    1. I alternate between my contacts and glasses. I have horrific vision, but apparently am a good candidate for Lasik....now if I only had $4,000 hidden away somewhere...

    2. I wanted 4 kids because I come from a family of four children and so did my mom. I love coming from a big family and my brother and sisters and I are super close...now I am not sure if I will make it to four...kids are a lot of work!!!

  • 1. I've been wearing glasses/contacts since I was in fifth grade. DH had Lasik done before we were married and was very pleased with the results, so I'll probably have it done someday as well.

    2. I think I pictured 3 kids, most likely because there were 3 in my family. I'm not sure at this point if we'll go for a third or stop after this LO is born.

  • 1.  Good vision!  After seeing DH having to deal with contacts and glasses, I am extra thankful for it.

    2.  2 or 3, I think.  I honestly probably never thought about it... I just knew I wanted kids.

    1. I wear one contact lens. I had to go through vision therapy as a child and my right eye never got as strong as my left. It's not a strong rx but I definitely need it.

    2. I always said I'd never have kids. And then I changed my mind overnight. Now I can't imagine not being a mom.

  • 1, I wear glasses, I can't see much without them, I can never get the hang of contacts I have a really weird prescription so they never fit my eye right :(. I plan to do laser eye surgery when I finish breastfeeding, they quoted me about $4k too, from what I understand you can get it for the low price only if you have a very straight forward prescription, and if you pay the extra they will also do follow up treatment if your vision changes enough to warrant it.

2, I always wanted 2 (I wanted twin girls, that ship has sailed LOL), I had 2 siblings and it always annoyed me that everything was made for families of four, so that is what I wanted.

  • 1. I wore glasses when I was working in front of a computer all day but now that I stay home I only wear them when i'm driving at night or sometimes when I read.

    2. I always thought I would have 2, I wanted one boy and one girl but obviously you can't choose and I will be happy with either one :)

  • 1. I actually do not wear glasses or contacts, but also do not have good vision. I have an eye disorder in my left eye and am basically legally blind in that eye because my brain doesn't use the two of them together properly. My right eye is fine, though, so after years of eye therapy (starting at age 5) and glasses and contacts, they basically told me it was up to me. The glasses/contacts aren't improving my vision, just may be saving the right eye a little strain. I decided to forego the glasses/contacts now, knowing I will likely need to return eventually due to my right eye eventually getting worse.

    2. I think I always pictured two b/c that's what our family had.

  • 1. I wear glasses. I hate them.  DS thinks its hilarious to try and take them off my face.  I will do Lasik but I think I am going to wait until I am done having kids.

    2. I always pictured 3, however I like even numbers.  Right now I can't imagine just having one more kid.  However I can't picture having 4 either lol, So maybe three?

  • 1. I have terrible vision, like, can't see a foot in front of my face without glasses or contacts. DH had PRK (like LASIK) done in 2005, but I haven't been brave enough to follow suit yet.

     2. I always thought I'd have three or four. We'll see how two goes. Smile

No glasses or contacts.  Good vision here!  Hopefully it stays that way.

    2. How many children did you picture yourself having when you were young?
2-3.  I grew up with one brother who was 4 years older than me so the one thing I knew for sure was that I wanted my kids close together just because for me 4 years apart was too much.

  • 1. It's ''good enough'' vision. No glasses/contacts.

    2. Min of 3. But I when I was young I also thought it'd be cool to have identical quadruplets or something.

"What are you having?" "Well the radiologist says its a healthy little human baby. I'm a little disappointed, because I really wanted a puppy." LOL
  • 1. Do you wear glasses/contacts or do you have good vision?

    I have pretty good vision

    2. How many children did you picture yourself having when you were young?

I always pictured myself with 4 which has since dwindled down to 2, but only if our next one is a boy.  If not, we might be in for 3 Smile
