Hi! I'm wondering what people are using/used for kindergarten curriculum. My daughter is four and I feel like she will be ready for the work in the fall. We are looking for more of a christian based education. Thanks!

Re: Kindergarten curriculum.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,and He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Thanks! I was looking at it tonight and really like it. I am also looking into Rod and Staff, I may add some more with that though.

As PP mentioned, we use My Father's World. I'm loving it. The Language Arts and Math portions are pretty basic, so it's perfect for a 4 year old. My 4YO has a little trouble with some of the worksheets, just because he has a hard time forming his letters on smaller lines, but overall, he's doing really well and we're seeing improvement already. I think that within a few months he'll be able to complete the manuscript pages just fine.
With my older son I didn't purchase a curriculum for his Pre-K/K work and just sort of put it together myself. That also worked fine for us. But having the lessons planned out for us definitely saves me a lot of time!
That is what I have been doing with her for the past year. I just feel like I need something a little more structure. I'm due again in october and if I can at least have some of the basic stuff pretty much planned out then I feel like it will be easier. You know, because home schooling is SOOOO easy
.
ps Adamswife- I remember you from a long time ago on the tri boards when I was pregnant with this four year old!

I listened to the presentation for My Father's World at a recent conference and really liked it. They blend a lot of the theories of education that I am interested in. But, I am also considering Oak Meadow (secular/ Waldorf inspired).
After looking into Sonlight I decided against it. They're advertising and flashy sales pitches really turned me off. I've heard of people just using their book lists and doing well with that though. Have you found https://www.homeschoolreviews.com? Super helpful!
I am in the same boat, I have a 4 yr old and will be doing more Kindergarden work with her this year. I like the Charlotte Mason Approach and we will be using Before Five in a Row, Math U See and Learn to Read in 100 easy lessons as our core. Cost wise, buying used o goet everything i needed for under 100.
We have been piecing our own stuff together for the last 2 years from homeschool bloggers 1+1+1=1 and HOmeschool Creations, Confessions of a HOmeschooler, I'm looking forward to having more of it planned for me this year.
I love, love My Father's World. I actually started in March with my son and I am glad I did. I am pregnant now and will have to have a c/s in Feb. So I am glad that I have the ability to take a lot of time off and still met state requirements
