Oh toddlers!

Up until last week, DD2 was perfectly content eating whatever her sister was having for breakfast. Then she realized she had the ability to tell me what she wants. And so this morning, in typical toddler behaviour, she asked for Cheerio's, had a meltdown when I gave them to her and started crying for toast. She then ignored the toast I made her and happily ate her Cheerio's. Little bugger.

Re: Oh toddlers!

  • Michaela hasn't figured out that she can ask for what she wants. She does tell me she is hungry and wants food but doesn't want anything I suggest or make.

  • Oh man.

We've been dealing with this since DD just picked up a couple new words.  I could ignore her pointing and grunting at the fridge, but when she's pointing and saying "cheese" it's a little more tough!

  • Xander can't figure out for the life of him what the hell he wants to eat from one minute to the next. He will ask for something and when I go to hand it to him he throws himself on the ground all pissed off.
