Autumn is the only one I like, and I happen to love it! I wouldn't side eye an April or Summer, but they aren't my style.
I think it's dorky if you name your DD the month they were born in. An April born in April or a January born in January is cheesy to me. Summer and Autumn are different because they are seasons. I don't think it's silly to name a DD born in February Summer nor do I think it's silly to name a daughter born in October Autumn.
August/Augustus was on my top boys list and it literally didn't even occur to me that he was due in August, for some reason I did not make the connection until my husband pointed it out and that he thought it was weird. I know lots of Aprils & Autumns....I am still not sure how I feel about it though
Autumn has always been a front-runner M.N. if we ever had a DD. Well, come November 1, we will! We've decided ultimately that her M.N. will be Autumn. It very likely would've been Autumn regardless of when she was born- DH and I just think the name is very pretty. I do know a family of girls whose mother named each one, either their first name or middle name, after a season/weather. Ex: Stormy, Summer, Autumn, Spring & Skye, etc. I find that a little odd but to each their own...
I have taught several Autumns and one Summer, and it never dawned on me to ask if that was the season they were born in. I can see considering the dorky factor while they are newborns, but it won't matter as they age.
My daughter's camp counselor was named January. This is going back at least 10 or 12 years. At the time, I thought it was unique. Now there's January Jones and I'm sure people would assume any baby January is named after/because of her.
Not big on Autumn, Summer, Winter, April, May, or June.
I love the names Summer and Autumn, but not the other two. My younger sister's MN is Autumn (and she was born in that particular season). I don't think that it's dorky at all.
One of my co workers just used Summer which seems very dated to me. The only ones I really like are Autumn and June. I love June because of June Carter Cash, so to me it's not after a month but a person.

Eek. My daughter's middle name is June and she was born in June. Although her mn has nothing to do with the month, it's after both her great grandmothers.
I would definitely shy away from first names based on the month, or even a mn that is determined by the month a child is born in. I do have a soft spot for Summer, but DH hated it.
I wouldn't personally use month/season names, but I don't side-eye them either. I think an April born in April is weird, though. Seasons it doesn't matter.
The only one I'm fond of is June, because it reminds me of Benny and Joon. Of course, it was spelled differently and it was short for Juniper Pearl, but that's what I think of and I think it's cute.
I think it's definitely worse if the child is born IN that month, but I'm kind of impartial on seasons, that could go either way. I really like the names April and Autumn. And I like Winter and Summer too.

this, but I think a MN for the birth month is fine
I like June and it seems like May or Mae has become really popular,, especially for middle names. January is a huge GP name for me because Jacqueline Susann novels are my beach reads.

I love the name June and have always wanted to name my daughter that. However, it's very likely that I will have a June baby instead of July and I wouldn't name her Hune if she was born in June.
Another vote for January as a GP name. DD was due in January and I thought about it as a middle name for about 5 minutes, just couldn't get DH onboard. She came a couple weeks early and solved that for us.
I will admit, I'm crushing on the name November. Then I found out the baby is due in November, and I can't decide whether to be excited because it's divine providence, or upset because the dorkiness of it has ruined my current name crush. Haha, oh well, probably wouldn't have used it anyway, but I guess what I'm saying is that I haven't decided which is worse.

So when I was a teen, my plan was to name my children after whatever month they were born. I have since grown out of that phase
I don't mind some month names - April, May/Mae, June, and I love August, but I wouldn't use them if the child was born in that month.
I don't really like season names. There's nothing wrong with them, they're just NMS.

I like April and June, not a fan of January. Maybe because it's my goldfish's name
I'm ambivalent about Summer and Autumn.
This exactly.

I tend to dislike these names. When I was a kid (1970s) the name April was fairly popular for girls, but always seemed to be used by trashy families.
I would definitely shy away from first names based on the month, or even a mn that is determined by the month a child is born in. I do have a soft spot for Summer, but DH hated it.
