Estrace before IVF

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone's protocol has included estrace before ivf. I'll go in for bloodwork on CD 19 to confirm I ovulated then they'll put me on estrace to prime my ovaries and I'll start injections 2 weeks later, I think. Originally I was going to go on BCPs but since it'd be a month they thought I might get over-suppressed. I know my RE is being very aggressive with my medications since he feels my DOR is pretty bad. Just curious since there seem to be so many different protocols and it all seems so confusing.

    My new protocol includes Estrace the cycle before IVF.  I started on CD 21 (which was Saturday) and ended up getting my period on CD 23 (yesterday).  Originally they told me to stop Estrace when I got my period, but when I called to schedule my baseline testing, my RE told me to continue Estrace twice/day until Thursday (my baseline appt).  My new protocol is Estrace, Chlomid + Follistim and Ganorelix.  The first time we did Follistim + Menapur and Lupron.  We only had 2 follicles so they cancelled my IVF cycle (we did an IUI).

    Glad to hear others have this protocol. Here's hoping it works! My only concern is what if I get pregnant this cycle and start estrace (yeah, yeah I know... we have like 0% of naturally conceiving again but I still stupidly hold on to hope every single month). I'm sure it'd be safe as long as you stop when you get a bfp. Guess I should stop googling and ask my RE's office when I go there to turn in the piles of consent forms this week :).
