If our child is to be born in February 2014, he or she is already created. Craziness right? To me, it is fascinating to think that our child could be out there somewhere right now 'cooking away'.
A few months ago my friend posted on FB that she had a "baby dream" and since she wasn't pregnant she asked who was. I posted that I am not but our future birthmother may be. I got a lot of "likes" for that one.
Pursing Domestic Infant Adoption through a local agency. In the meantime, our dog is our baby. Bumping from Portland, Oregon.
We are not matched but always pray for our future BM. Its crazy to think we know we are going to meet her, and she is out there with no idea what is in the future!

I was 11 when my oldest was born. Though of course didn't adopt him then!
I was looking at my 10.5 year old niece thinking "her kid could be born in 6 months if she were me" lol. So strange!
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! Expecting again after IVF
When we went to our first HS meeting, I remember thinking, "Someone could have just gotten pg and we will adopt their baby." And 10 months later DD was born
I think about this all the time! Since our program is usually 12-18 months long, and our child will likely be 12-24 months old when we bring him home, he's most likely already out there somewhere. It makes praying for him so much more real... Instead of just general thoughts, I find myself praying that someone hugs him and looks him in the eyes today... that he doesn't go to sleep hungry. It's really weird. It also makes me sad for his biological family, because they are either about to go through something awful or have already gone through it.
Re: Funny Thought
Never thought of it that way. Kinda cool.
