We will be staying in a hotel room for a couple of nights this week and I'm starting to worry about it. Does anyone have advice on how to make staying in a hotel room with LO easier? It is really worrying me, since we won't be able to leave the room while she falls asleep, not have the TV on, hope the strange crib works for her, etc. Also, if you use a white noise machine did you bring it with you?

Re: Need hotel stay advice
We haven't stayed in a hotel yet, but we have stayed at other people's homes with him. I would probably die if I hadn't brought the white noise machine with me, it worked wonders for us. I think she'll do better than you're expecting. Good luck!

We just stayed in a hotel for the first time last week. It went better than I expected! We took our own pack n play although she never sleeps in it at home, but she sleeps in the one at our inlaws sometimes. We also took our white noise machine.
There was a divider wall in our room that separated a little sitting area from where the beds were so we pushed the pack n play between the couch and that wall so then she couldn't see us in bed. The only problem with this set up is that we had to walk by her to get to the bathroom. She screamed and cried for about 30 minutes the first night and did not want to go to sleep. We found that once we turned the TV on, it helped her settle down and she fell asleep after that. The second night went a lot smoother and she fell asleep within minutes. We did once again turn the TV on though and her white noise machine.
Good luck!
We kept the TV on the whole time so he fell asleep with it and turning it on wouldn't bother him... not that it would anyway because he's knocked out when he's asleep.
The suite was the best thing we ever did. It made prepping and washing bottles and sippy cups easier, plus we could make breakfast and lunch instead of eating out.
I brought our PnP, which he's not used to sleeping in. I wish we would have just rented the crib and brought one of his blankets. We didn't bring his white noise machine, but did bring the seahorse that we play when we lay him down.
We also kept the Do Not Disturb tag on the door so no one would knock.
Make sure you take something for her to eat on. I forgot that B wouldn't have a high chair, so he had to eat his snacks and meals on a towel.
I didn't even think of that, great idea!
