2nd Trimester

Britax B-Agile vs. B-Ready?

I'm just entering second tri and we're looking at strollers. I can't decide between the B-Agile vs. the B-Ready. DH and I would like to make a decision this week so we can take advantage of the free infant carrier if we decide on the B-Ready.

I know the B-Ready converts to a double stroller, but I don't know how I feel about the set up. Any STM + moms have any opinions on this?

  • We chose the b ready, and have loved it. And this October we will have two under 20 months, so I think it was absolutely the right choice for us!

Also, our baby sitter uses it as a jogging stroller almost every day and it has held up great for that.

I was having this same debate and just decided to pull the trigger on the Agile.  Getting the B-Ready would make financial sense, especially during the free ride event, since we're planning on second baby after not too long.  But I don't love the set up with the jumper seat (baby #2 gets a crappy view and will be kicking the other kid all the time).  And to me it's just not worth dealing with extra weight and bulk every day between now and when we would need it.

  • This is pregnancy #3. With Baby #2 we purchased the B-ready. The girls are now almost 4&2 and it has been a wonderful stroller. It is still in amazing condition. BUT I have to say it is not my personal favorite double. In single mode, it is bulky. I love the seat options with a infant. And like I said, we have been happy with it.

So if this is a "financial" decision, I would do it. But not if you are going to want a different double when the time comes. Cause there are a lot of other options out there . I love my Bumbleride Indie Twin.

I was worried about this as well, and to he honest, neither care about sitting in the back. They both love it, especially when they are sleepy!

  • We got the B-ready (we had a jogging stroller first for a while).... and I like the b-ready a lot.  We were determined to have two under two (I know...I know). Here we are with a 14 month old and due in Sept, so I am glad we have the b-ready.  There are a ton of different configurations. It is on the heavy side, but that's to be expected with a stroller that can handle two children.

If you are not planning on having two close together, I'd consider the b-aglie. I played with that a lot too and loved how light it was and easy it was to fold up.

The agile would be easier to maneuver through a mall or the zoo. The b-ready takes up a good amount of space and I can't fit in some stores.

In regards to the set up of the b-ready, I like that you can put the infant seat on the lower part (if you purchase another piece, which we did).

If you are set on a britax stroller and need seating for two.... I like the b-ready. If you are not set on britax, you might want to look around a bit.

  • I'm going to get the B-Agile double. I have a 16 month old and #3 is due in December. I don't like that with the B-Ready one of the little ones is riding almost on the ground. It just doesn't look right to me. I have a friend with twins who has the B-Agile double and highly recommends it, so that's what we're going to get.

  • I took advantage of this special Britax promotion as well. I decided to go with the B Ready because the wheels are bigger. It drives me crazy when pushing other people's strollers and you hit a crack in the pavement and the stroller comes to a rapid halt and shakes the baby all up. So I wanted a nice smooth ride. Buy Buy baby will let you use a 20% off coupon on the B ready which takes $100 off and then the Britax infant car seat comes free with it through June. I got a coupon from diapers.com via email for 25% off all Britax strollers, and BuyBuy Baby did a price match for 25% off instead of 20%. So I got the stroller and car seat for $400 even.

Great deal! I really wanted the UppaBaby system but this special deal just seemed like a no brainer and the B Ready is so similar to the UppaBaby- -it just doesn't come with the bassinet.

  • I originally thought I wanted the B-Agile. When we test-drove it around, we decided we actually wanted the B-Ready since the B-Ready has an adjustable handlebar and was just more comfortable for us to push. I love the B-Ready a lot.
