June 2013 Moms

Late June mamas

How is everyone doing? Still hanging in there?

I'm so ready for this baby. I'm having issues with tachycardia and borderline pre-e and have spent 2 days in the hospital recently. I'm on twice weekly NST and weekly ultrasound so I'm basically living at my OB's office.

Re: Late June mamas

  • I'm trying to hang in there. I had my 38 week check yesterday and I'm not dilated at all. This is my 2nd so it is very frustrating. I'm just trying to look on the bright side that she will be here when she is ready.

    Feeling good....just uncomfortable.

Nothing exciting is going on with baby.  Which is good because everything is healthy and on track, but it's also frustrating because it means no real signs of labor.

I'm trying not to stress too much, but my doctor/hospital is very pro-induction so I'm really hoping DD makes her appearance prior to my scheduled induction on the 26th otherwise I'm going to have to fight to get it pushed back.

  • Im still patiently baking my LO. Im miserable beyond miserable. My heartburn has me running for the toilet multiple times right now and nothing helps, nothing. My LO has also dropped so low that I have the worst waddle ever and makes my back hurt. I just keep telling myself only 2 more weeks... sigh

  • I'm doing okay. In a lot of pain in my lower regions. Just ready to have her in my arms. The office I go to doesn't do internals except at 36 weeks or if there is a problem. So I have no idea if I've progressed or not. However she did drop last week and everyday she gets heavier and heavier on my pelvis.

  • I'm still having some good days but nights are rough. When I sleep my hips hurt, I feel out of breath when I roll over and I'm up a least once a night to use the bathroom. I haven't had any BHs or any other symptoms that would suggest this little guy is ready to be born. But, knowing the end is insight keeps me positive. I can't wait to meet him!!

  • Oh hangin in there just to the super uncomfortable part! My acid reflux is to the annoying stage now. Even water give me an attack! And it starting to get hotter out, which only makes me ven more pleasant I am told lol. Plus, we have the stress of trying to find a new place to live since they said we are outta here once Colten is born! So I have been house hunting while the BF is at work.
I have my 38 week check up Thursday. Hopefully some good news, but not banking on it since last time all I was told was he is now head down, not dilated or anything!
He will be here soon I keep telling myself! And I can't wait.

  • Still hanging in there.. nothing much to report, really. I was offered a cervix check at my last appointment, but declined. I'm set for a RCS on 6/27, so I really don't see the point. I'm kind of hoping I'll go earlier, but if not, it's nice knowing I've only got 16 more days! :)

    Hang in there, mamas!

  • I'm doing ok here. A lot of pressure and my heartburn has never been this bad. But I'm enjoying time with just me and H for now.

It's the dumbest reason ever, but I'm hoping LO holds off until my due date, maybe even a few days later. H gets paid once at month on the 25th and we are cash poor at the moment and I want to pick up a few more things before she comes lol.

  • June 28th here. Doing pretty well. Im anxious for her to be here, but I know its best that she comes when she's ready. Still impatient lol.

I've had a lot of muscoloskeletal pain this time around, so chasing around my 14 month has been tough. Overall, Im mentally doing better than last time. It was a harder adjustment to hit full-term with DS then with DD. I guess because I've done it before, and Im already used to less sleep.

Feeling good...uncomfortable at times but can't complain too much right now.  Just have my weekly checkups until/when she decides to arrives but still have a little over 2 weeks left.

  • Feeling pretty good - just uncomfortable and totally antsy! We moved into our new house last month and I spend every waking moment reorganizing and unpacking things around the house and walking EVERYWHERE! Sitting on the sofa isn't comfortable anymore... 39 weeks today and I'm totally ready to have this baby!

  • Just playing the waiting game now. My OB doesn't do internal exams until I reach my due date if labor hasn't started spontaneously yet, which I am glad for. At my 38 wk apt yesterday we talked about timeline for discussing induction, which will be dependent on results of NST and fluid check at 41 wks.

I'm feeling pretty good, all things considered. Heartburn is more intense, but less frequent than 2nd tri, dealing with a little nausea and appetite loss, and just trying to make sure I stay really well hydrated. I won't mind if LO wants to stay in a little past her due date. It's more a matter of being asked those ridiculous late term questions that I don't want to deal with.

  • Feeling great. The swelling is getting annoying, but for the most part manageable. The 30th can't get here fast enough!

I'm 38 weeks today.  Doing pretty good for the most part.  I have the same complaints about achy lady parts (but seriously though, omg the pain).  And my belly is so itchy now, and I have stretch marks that popped up in the last few weeks (didn't have any with DD so this is new to me).

I completely packed my freezer this past weekend so I'm very happy about that! I'm just waiting it out now. I have a partially packed hospital bag, just need to pack DD an overnight bag.  I have a few last minute loose ends to tie up (car seat actually in the car, bring up my RnP and swing from the garage, stuff like that).  Nothing that can't be done, even if baby decided to come rightthisverysecond.  I'm just trying to enjoy the last few days/weeks as a family of 3 before everything gets flipped around.

  • Reading everyone else's posts, I am not doing terribly, but I am not sleeping very well, and I am ready for this baby. I believe in letting them bake for as long as possible, but seriously, I'd be OK with it if he made an appearance tonight :) I've been getting the 'are you totally just 'done' with pregnancy already?' questions since about 35 weeks, and honestly until today I haven't been... I will still defiantly not tell people that I am 'done' though, because I think its a stupid question to ask people when they are struggling.

  • Recovering from bronchitis, which has not been fun this far into pregnancy! LO has dropped, so every time I move or stand I have to run for the bathroom again. I'm really hoping I'm dialated some by my next appt, because I'm going to be induced at 39wks, and I would really like my body to be favorable before going into it. Well, that or for him to just decide to come on his own a little early! That would be even better! Either way, I'm ready to be done and have him in my arms Smile
  • Similar to the other ladies... My lower back  hurts so bad that even short walks are brutal right now.  I was at the grocery store with DD1 over the weekend and just HAD to sit down.  I was never so happy to see a display of lawn furniture.  LoL There is a lot of pelvic pressure and menstrual-like cramps going on.  My OB doesn't do internals, so I have no idea if I'm progressing or not.  I have my 38 week appt tomorrow and I plan to ask what their policy is on inductions if I go past my due date.  I really hope LO is close to on-time. My mom is flying in from TN on my due date and staying for a week.  I want her to get to meet the baby.  Sad

  • I'm so ready....but apparently my body is not.  Or is it?  Baby dropped over three weeks ago and is in the correct position for delivery and I've been 1cm and not effaced for three weeks.

It was disappointing at my appointment yesterday, but last night I started to lose my mucus plug and I've been having painless contractions all morning.  All in all it means I could have the baby today...or in three weeks at my induction time.  As a planner the uncertainty of delivery times is very disconcerting.

  • Just hanging out waiting for my RCS on the 24th. Sore and achy but that is to be expected so I just rest as much as I can.
  • Due June 26th but am pretty sure this baby won't make an appearance until early July (boy will I be surprised if he shows up early!).  I was offered a cervical check at 36 weeks but declined.  My GBS test came back negative so that was good news.

This is probably flameworthy, but I'm having basically zero discomfort.  No heartburn, no pressure, just a whole lot of nothing except for maybe a few teeny, tiny contractions, which are hardly noticeable.  Baby hasn't dropped as far as I can tell...a lot of people like to say it looks like he has, but I really don't think so.

I'm happy for LO to stay in up to 41 weeks, but I wouldn't mind if he came a little earlier because work is kicking my arse.  We're being audited in July so we're preparing for that while also dealing with the busiest sales month of the entire year for my department.  Plus, I'm trying to wrap up any loose ends so my replacement is properly trained.  I'm pretty firmly in "I don't care about anything and am not going to worry about it" mode, but even so, there's still a lot of work to be done, and I'm not one to just toss everything in the air and walk out.

  • I am due June 23 and I am ready for LO to be here.  I know it would be better for her to cook a bit longer but I am pretty uncomfortable.  She is aggravating a joint in my pelvis so walking is painful most of the time, as is rolling over in bed.  I haven't been sleeping well either and wake up at least every two hours if not more.  I had my 38 week appointment this morning and her heartbeat was a little off so I had to have an NST and BPP.  Everything was fine but I was freaking out there for a minute!

  • Doing well...just hanging in there. Baby is healthy. I'm dealing with having to look into a getting my ovaries out for my health concerns, but I'm excited for little one. My Dr. has not done an internal since I'm scheduled for my c-section on the 20th, but I'd kind of like to know how far along I am- if at all.

I have my 38 week appointment tomorrow and I'm hoping for some news or possible update on my progress. Everyone keeps saying they think LO is coming before the 20th which is great and exciting, but it keeps getting my hopes up and frustrating me. :/

I hope everyone else is doing great! Almost there mommas!

  • Doing well, feeling good minus insomnia. LO has dropped down and is in head first position, I start getting cervical checks next week...I initially said I'd decline them but meh, I only have a few weeks left in my pregnancy-I don't care, I take everything with a grain of salt. I also have an ultrasound scheduled for next week, doc wants to see how big the baby is...taking that with a grain of salt.

Everyone thinks I won't make it til my due date and I think the same...but we shall see!

I've got a week to go until EDD. I'm doing pretty good. I had a sleepless night last night for no apparent reason, but I'm making it ok today. I have very minor swelling in my feet that pops up when I'm walking around too much. I have my doctor's appointment on Thursday. They will check me then for the first time to see if there's any progress going on at all. I'm just ready for him to get here. My doctor is in vacation this week though, so I really do hope he waits until next week.
  • I felt alone it seemed like everyone had delivered!!!!! I am hanging in there but ready for the 27th and meet my LO!!!! Hang in there everyone and good luck on your deliveries!  By the way the doc checked me and nothing he is still sitting up high!!!!
  • Is it bad that I look every day for a post title Late June Mamas?  Not that I don't love seeing the new babies, but a lot of the posts now don't apply to me right now.  I'm still in OMG is that a contraction mode, not how chapped are my nipples mode.  I figure I've got some time to figure that one out and I'm glad there are still us other Mama's still hanging around.  :)

Totally feeling the whole cash deficiency thing here haha. I really hate that once a month pay day. I still need to pick up a few things so I'm hoping she'll wait, if my OB doesn't induce.

  • I'm feeling pretty ready. I've had two NSTs in the past three days, because this little girl's activity slowed down really drastically over the weekend. Everything seems to be fine, though, thank goodness. I'm doing a kick count right now, and need to monitor her closely for the next few days.

    Sending best wishes to everybody!!

  • I'm 37w4d (due 6/29), and nothing much going on here.  I had an internal on Monday, and I'm 50% effaced but not dilated at all.  I have kind of convinced myself that I'm having BH, but I'm not entirely sure.  Otherwise, just the same old, same old... but, I'm less uncomfortable than I was a few weeks ago, so that's a happy surprise!

I did have a growth sono yesterday, and before I went, the OB I saw told me to take whatever they say with a grain of salt because they "have big eyes" - but they estimated 7lbs, 14 ounces already.  It was fun to get to see him on the screen & DVD, but he didn't cooperate for pictures.  I am just amazed at how big he looks - like a real baby instead of a tiny little thing in there!

  • I'm here...I'm so exhausted looking after my 3 yr old and 21 month old. They don't let me sit down ever and it's really frustrating!! Was checked last week at 37 w and was 2cm and 50 effaced. Doesn't mean much for me though. I just don't want to go into labor until my mom gets here from NC. Otherwise I will be giving birth without DH bc we don't know anyone here where we live to watch the kids. It's overwhelmingly stressing me out and instead of being able to get "excited" when I feel a painful contraction I freak out. Plus we just moved last weekend and my house is a mess. I'm sooo not in a good place mentally ugh!!!!

  • I'm doing a lot better than I was a couple weeks ago.  My BP is good and my daughters just got home from a 10 day trip with their grandparents, so I'm less stressed and got to indulge in naps while they were gone.  That helped enormously.  I still have insomnia and occasional HB.  Sometimes LO gets into an awkward position and I think my belly will rupture, but I'm mostly comfortable.  Probably because I'm being extremely lazy at the moment.

Me too.  I'm only one day behind you.  I've been having pretty intense menstrual cramps all day and I just finished crying about it. I really convinced myself I'd be in labor by today because DD1 was this early.  Stupid.  I know.  I'm not in labor...I'm just incredibly uncomfortable.  I just wish my body would either go into labor or stop making me feel like shitz.  One or the other, kwim?

  • Due date is June 19th. Glad to hear that the severity of my heartburn is normal since everyone else has the same problem. I've been making perfectly balanced dinners without anything acidic and drinking water and it still kills me.
Does anyone else have this leaky problem? I'm a FTM and I am not totally sure if I'm supposed to be this leaky all the time. I go through like 3 pairs of underwear a day now.
Just had a contraction that was unlike any of the rest. Definitely had to take a trip to the restroom to check if anything was happening because I had to really breathe my way through it. It was only one very long one. It seemed to last a few minutes. I just had regular BH after that one though. I totally had the urge to go clean the kitchen and that made me feel better and I had one of those moments where I wasn't sure if I was just cleaning the kitchen or if I was doing the whole nesting thing.
I've noticed I've gotten insomnia and it seems others have, too. What's the deal with that? All I want is to get some rest so I can wake up and actually tend to every little detail that has been keeping me up at night, lol.
  • PS Is anyone else planning on wearing makeup to the hospital? What do you think are the pros and cons? I really can't decide.
  • I'm 39 weeks and pretty miserable. DS was 10 days early so I really thought I'd be done by now. Coupled with the estimate that she is over 10 lb and the fact that she is so low I can barely walk and pretty much can't sleep and I'm ready.

  • 37 w and 5 days now...humidity here is terrible, so I'm staying inside as much as I can at this point. Drinking tons of water. Lots of pelvic pain and pressure if I sit or stand or walk for a while. lol. Peeing a trickle all the time which is really annoying and retaining water like crazy. After my weight dropping a little and looking stabilized, it went up three pounds this week, and I am puffy. Sigh. Not nearly as bad as the first time around with DD, but still, I don't like it. Honestly, my EDD is June 28th, but I am hoping for June 20th or 21st...good time for hubby with work, and I think I'll be ready then. Just hoping I don't go beyond. Ugh.
