TV Guilty pleasure: Secret Life of the American Teenager. Come in if you watched too!

So I am so embarassed to admit this..but I totally watched every season!  I know, it is so ridiculous but I just couldn't stop after watching the first few seasons.

Did anyone else think the series finale was horrible?  I gave this show props for having the characters (usually) do the right thing! Then at the end...the good mother who does everything for her son and tries so hard to make a family for him..just leaves him and goes across the country to go to college! She is going to visit on weekends? What?! This is not a puppy dog! College takes 4 (or more!) years to complete.  He would be EIGHT by the time she graduated.  Oh and she is going to fly home every couple weekends? She lives in california. College is in NY.  Not going to happen!

Ugh, just horrible.  Way to go ABC family for showing how to be a horrible [teenaged] mother!

    I watched every show. I agree it was a weird ending, but it showed that being a teenager mother is not easy. She finally cracked. MTV glorifies teenage pregnancy. I liked her with Ben better than Ricky.

    I haven't watched this last season but I did read what happened. I was not happy she ended up with Ben because I think he is such a whiny brat and I also thought the college thing was stupid. Horrible endings.

I don't think Amy is bad for going to college and leaving Jon with Ricky but I wish they told us how it worked out after she finished college. Like a flash forward 5 years into the future or something.

    really? I thought it was bad she left her kid.  Either bring him with and don't stay in a dorm...or go to college in her hometown. 

    definitely agree a flash forward would have been great!
