Fighting Sleep

I have a 27 week old.  She has since day one not been a fan of naps or going to sleep, however lately it has gotten worse.  Hoping someone has some tips.  I try feeding her and 2 out of 10 times she'll end up falling asleep that way.  We have tried rocking her, walking around, etc but nothing seems to work.  Help!

Re: Fighting Sleep

  • No suggestions, but we are in the same boat. It is getting progressively worse everyday!

  • Have you tried changing the nap times and bedtime schedule's around a bit? Maybe she's overtired, or not tired enough? Bath's worked for us, as well as him changing sleep positions to his belly.

  • Yes, we have tried to change bedtime/nap time, but that does not work.  As soon as she figures out that it's time for bed/nap she is NOT happy.  She just doesn't want to miss anything.  Some of the times she is overtired for sure, but that is because she just won't give into sleeping.  Hoping she will grow out of this soon.
  • Yes, we have read some books and also talked with her peds doc.  Nothing seems to work.  She is just too concerned about what else is going on.  Even if it is just me and my husband at home.  Not sure if things have changed some because she does have a tooth that just popped through.  Maybe that could have been causing some problems.  Heres to hoping right?
