I got my OB referral!

I had my appointment with my GP today, and it went well. He was able to go over my testing results with me, everything seems to be in normal range and my HSG shows my uterus and remaining tube are both clear, so that's great news. I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to have a proper antral follicle count done, or the AMH test that would have given a better picture of my egg reserve, but all in all at least everything else looks to be ok given my age. My numbers, which I now need to look up to understand better, are:

LH 5

Estradiol 161

FSH 5

Progesterone 31.7

He is going to refer me to the other OB at the practice where my OB was, which I'm happy for, apparently he's really good. I did ask about REs and apparently there aren't any in our neck of the woods, probably in the Vancouver area 11 hours away attached to fertility clinics, but none where I am. But he said because of that the OBs here are very good and do lots of what an RE would do in terms of helping out couples with fertility issues, so that's good enough for me at this point.

My only other concern was my spotting, I showed him my charts and he agreed that although not necessarily concerning, it doesn't seem entirely normal to spot continuously from 3 to 5 DPO until my period, and that he would discuss that with the new OB when he makes my referral.

So overall, I'm quite happy. He's very accepting of my charting and depth of knowledge, acknowledging that I "know my stuff" and can clearly demonstrate I'm doing all the right things, not just going blind and expecting help for no reason. I knew enough to question a few things, which he was very good about and gave thoughtful responses, treating me like an equal and not like a silly patient who knows nothing compared to his expertise. Oh, and my hubby had an appointment with him a couple slots after mine to discuss other things, so he was also going to be bringing up the SA he has to do. He's on top of things and it helps me to feel confident in where we're going from here!

We now have the same doc. I've always been happy with him :-)

ETA: So glad you asked where the nearest RE is. I assumed it was in V, but at least now I know for sure. I'm quickly heading down the road of needing more specialized care too.
