Annoyed!

Just when I was getting myself all excited and geared up for our iui cycle...

 

AF came in the middle of the night.. cramping was pretty bad...bad enough to disrupt sleep, but I didn't care.. it meant we were finally getting started on our follistim cycle! Called RE's office today to make US appointment and pick up meds. Set our appointment for tomorrow, then RE office called back within minutes to let me know that they looked at the calendar and RE's vacation will be the week of my IUI. So I could either postpone by another cycle and/or go to the other office in West LA... too far for hubby to get there during his work day!

 DH and I decided to postpone... it's our anniversary month... we're going to enjoy time together in this next few weeks. 

RE is entitled to her vacation -- she certainly deserves it! But I can't help but feel as if fate is trying to prevent us from ever getting pregnant... UGH!

7/2013 - IUI #1: 50 units Follistim +  Ovidrel  = BFN
8/2013 - IUI #2: 50 units Follistim +  Ovidrel  = BFP! Beta #1 (12 dpiui) 8/21: 45  Beta #2 (16 dpiui) 8/26: 301 Beta #3 (21 dpiui) 8/30: 1,929. 1st Ultrasound 9/4 - One perfect sac. 2nd Ultrasound 9/13 - Heartbeat at 124 bpm! Anniversary

    I'm so, so sorry. I am in the exact same place essentially. I was geared up and ready to go and when our RE passed so unexpectedly it just made me question everything. I totally get the fate thing. I'm honestly just trying to decide if we could really be happy with one. I honestly have felt a bit of a weight lifted with this forced break. It's just so hard after awhile. Hugs to you!

    Thanks for the support! I was so sorry to hear about your RE... I'm trying to decide if we'd be happy with just one, too. Sometimes I think I'm so far removed from the baby stage that maybe we should just stop trying altogether and save our emotions and finances. But at the end of the day, I want more! Hugs to you too! I hope our next cycle is more positive!

    Hi I'm new and seen this post and wanted to give you guys a little hope. It took me 4 years and mc's to get pg with our second. And like you ladies I kept asking myself would I be fine with just one and after I came to terms with it and giving up on my last cycle I got pg. Sorry it's taking you both so long but sending good vibes.

    That timing must be so frustrating!  Ugh!  I hope your timing is perfect next month, and you end up with that bfp!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14
