Where Chris goes to bed in his room and about halfway through the night, I get a kick to the back and realize, at some point, Chris has come into our room, climbed up on the bed and is now snuggled in between DH and me.
He doesn't do it every night but maybe once or twice a week.
So yeah, it's cute and all but also not the most fun since he is a WIGGLER. Any way to discourage?
Thanks
Re: So we've entered THIS stage...
DS does this to me every once in awhile. I notice sharp back pains and I find DS on my side. I think I let him on the bed to get 10 more minutes and to cuddle him.
I have nothing to stop this. Sometimes I wake up to go to the restroom in the middle of the night and I close his door to avoid this. DS would come over 10 minutes before the alarm, crawl in our bed and I would have to put him back in his room so I can shower and change for work.
We just keep putting them back. We also got one of those clocks that you can set to turn colors when they're allowed to get up, and told DD1 that she could only come to our room when the clock was green (DD2 was still in her crib at that point). She learned pretty quickly, and DD2 has pretty much followed suit now that she's in a regular bed. DD2 will still get up sometimes and come into our room in the MOTN, but I always deliver her back to her bed within about 30 minutes to discourage it.
So among all those things, they show up in our room usually between 6-7 a.m. and snuggle, and it's my favorite part of the day.
