Obsessed grandparents..

My MIL is one of them. Just for example: my MIL has a big tag on the front of her SUV that says 'Let me tell you about my awesome grandchildren'. Every single time Ive seen this woman in the past 3 months, she has a tshirt on proclaiming her love for her grandkids and such. She got a pandora bracelet with her 3 of theie birthstones, she also has a ring with their stones. Every single day she will post at lease one picture of each kid. She copies them from mine and SILs fb. Its almost like she is obsessed with them. Oh! And her house... every frame and the entire fridge is nothing but pictures of them. I can count on one hand how many times she has actually spent time with Rylan. Its just... strange... no point to this I guess except I just saw her and she was wearing another shirt that screams 'Im a grandmother!' Tshirt! Ha!

    I'm waiting on her to get a tattoo.

    Yeah, she  does LOVE her grandkids. Except she only shows her love through material things instead of actually taking time up with Rylan. She basically raises SILs kids though.

    Not to hijack this thread, but did you ever hear back after you sent the email?

    Nothing I posted on the original thread she had a lot of passive aggressive bs on fb. I responded on fb but still nothing. I give up.

    This is how my mil is on social media she's all "look at my grandbaby..xoxoxo sugary sweet kisses and lollipops" but she dont see him.

    My mom is super obsessed mad MIL could care less.  So one of each.  My Mom is all "my sweet boy" ALL THE TIME.  It drives DH crazy.  They live far away but she makes time by FaceTime and flies up to watch him if I have a trip.  MIL has seen him once in a year.  I send a picture of the day (not every day but a lot) to both grandparents and never hear back from the ILs.  Sad, but they are missing out.
