Re: . . . Laura1 . . .
Sorry for the delay! I haven't checked in in a while! Things are going ok. For anyone else, it would probably be great. But my DD#1 was always the best sleeper, easy to put down. The day before we gave up her binkie, she took a 2 hour nap, and happily went down, falling asleep within a few minutes. Since that day, she has napped once for an hour. She is also taking a bit longer to fall asleep at night with lots of yelling (probably because she is SO overtired from not napping), but is thankfully not waking at night for it any more.
This is the same thing that happened with DS's binkie and I was so happy with how it went - but he was a bad sleeper to start with, and he never napped again after we got rid of the binkie. I was hoping she would be different since she had only skipped her nap a handful of times in her life. Oh well. I keep trying but she may be done with it. Just as I got DD#2 to start taking a long afternoon nap! I was considering taking away DD#2's binkie before a year though...yeah right. I always choose the easy way out - she is still swaddled!
Hope you had a nice weekend!
