We are moving across the country and will be leaving our home daycare provider. She has been watching both of my girls since they were 4 months and they are now 3 and 1. Needless to say, she loves our children like her own and I am very well aware that she has done most of the raising of my children. I want to give her something that shows how much we appreciate what she has done for our kids and ow much her relationship with them has meant to us.
Any suggestions?
Re: Thank you gift for long time daycare
What is your price range? If get some type of jewelry. The note you write to gomwi it will be special. I babysat in higher school for a family I grew to love. Wen I left for college, they gave me a copy of "The Giving Tree" which I read t the kids before bed every time I babysat. Tey put pictures of the 4 kids in the cover and wrote "thank you for all you have given us." I read it to Ds all the time and think of them 15 years later.

A sentimental book with notes inside
Have the kids hold up signs and take pics of them- then create a collage. The signs could spell out "thank you" "we love you" We'll miss you" or whatever.
A photo book including notes from you and the kids, samples of the kids art work, plus pictures
When our in home DCP retired last year, we had DD hold up a sign that said, "Thank You" and took a picture framed it for her. She is very into gardening, so we also got her a plant and I put a little sign in it that said, "Thank you for helping me grow".
Lastly, we got her a GC to a local restaurant.
