Cat ate stool softner OH YAY!

Well I just had my excitement for the day! Chasing around a cat with a foaming mouth.  I dropped one this am and couldn't find it.  Guess he did!  All is ok now...after forcing water down his throat. NOT FUN!

Hah!  Kitty soft stool is the WORST!!!  Glad your kitty is ok, but how scary!

  • Of course, if you had medicine you actually wanted the cat to take, you would have to wrestle them and force them to take it.  But a random pill you don't want them to take, they gobble up.  Cats.

Was it 100mg? Colace is very irritating to the mouth, so I am not surprised kitty is foaming. I recently vomited up a stool softener and it was no bueno. I would just continue flushing the mouth out, if kitty will allow it. Kitty may get some soft stool. Wawa..
Yea it was....the foaming has pretty much stopped.  It was EVERYWHERE!  Windows, floors, furniture...grody.  Finally I kept him in the bathroom.  I was spooning water in his mouth because I didn't have any type of syringe or baster.  My husband was holding him down and all I kept saying was DON'T GET BIT!!!  Nothing worse than a dirty ole cat bite.

So true!  You wrap that ish up in a wad of chicken, chicken gets eaten and pill is spit onto the ground.

  • Oooooo I'm so sorry!!! I'm sorry I have to lmao at that. :X I hope your kiki can pass it quickly and without much mess.

Reminds me of when we got one of our cats wormed and it hit before we got home. She travels well, so we don't bother with a carrier for her. You can guess what happened... Several explosions, worms and crap and blood everywhere. It. was. disgusting. Literally had to hose the truck out.

    Oh my.  That is horrible.

  • My cat got into some milk of magnesia haha. We wouldn't have known if there hadn't been white paw prints on the counter tops. I got a text while I was at work when my husband went to check out the damage in the liter box. Apparently instead of only using the liter box, she pried the top of the unused liter as well.
