I'm hoping you ladies can help.
So I have a bottle of this yummy spicy coconut vinegar from the Philippines. Sounds weird but its delicious especially with steak. Now, my question is, when something is fermented, does it necessarily mean it contains alcohol? The main ingredient is fermented coconut nectar. I have emailed the company that makes it and the label does not indicate it does but it is imported. I had a very small amount...less than 1/4 of a teaspoon that I used to dip my steak in. Didn't think about it till after...I know SOME women have a sip of wine while pregnant so this miniscule amount won't make my baby come out with 3 heads but Id like to know for the future because I will avoid having it if it does have alcohol for my own piece of mind.
Any ideas? Thank you!

Re: Fermentation and alcohol
Seriously? You had less than a quarter teaspoon of something that MIGHT have alcohol in it and you're this freaked out?
You need to chill out. You've probably ingested more alcohol in your mouthwash. And if not your mouthwash, then vanilla extract or various other food additives.
And it's "peace" of mind.
Haha Love this!
Thanks!
We're going to Mexico too! Leaving on Friday! Can't wait to snorkel and sit on the beach!
Have fun!

I was having the same sort of wondering and "mini-fears" myself, so do understand.
But I can't help thinking, if you are getting so worked up over something like this, you probably do need a drink!

I had a little glass of wine for my birthday at 17 weeks and made me feel much saner to just relax about it a bit. Listened to doppler after and baby seemed fine.
