cervix pain

I feel like the baby is using my cervix as a trampoline - every time it moves I get shooting pains really low right through my cervix.  I'm just shy of 40 wks and I've been fingertip/1cm for the past two weeks, so I'm hoping the pressure will help open my cervix.  I'm really hoping this means that labor is on it's way...

    It might be! I've had this exact sensation you speak of for 3 weeks. I'm 1 cm & 50% effaced. Changing positions always helps me with that cervical pain. Hope you get some relief!

    I've had the same thing going on, especially today. Last week I was dilated 1 cm... I'm curious to see if I've made any progress tomorrow.

    I feel the samething. It doesn't feel too great. I'm 38 weeks but 2cm dilated and 70 effaced. So I'm hoping my lil one will come soon.

    I have been having these today too, especially in the last few hours. DH and I DTD this morning but I don't think they are related.
