Hi everyone~

On May 23rd I delivered my daughter Amelia at 35 + 4. I was scheduled to be induced at 37 weeks due to placental problems resulting from a subchorionic hemorrhage but my water broke on its own and she decided to come early. We spent 2 weeks in the NICU because she had IUGR and SGA and weighed 3 lb 14 oz. She was released when she hit 4 lb.

I do have lots of questions....like why is my girl grunting, groaning and straining all the time?!

    Thanks! She doesn't seem to be straining when she poops. The NICU nurses told me that preemies grunt a lot but didn't explain why. We have our first pedi appointment tomorrow so I'll be sure to ask.

    Congrats on your baby! Grunting is normal for preemies. Don't know why, though, just one of those things.
