Is this weird? NBR. Mil related.

So yeah there are growing pains going on with my mil and myself. However sometimes I think maybe I'm just being silly... Of course right around that time she really does something WTF.

Anyway... Is this odd to you all.

Mil, Fil, and Bil all came up for a party. At this party some pictures were being taken but not professional photos or anything but some that were put together in a traditional way if you will. Anyway, mil was insistent on getting pictures with Bil, Fil, and herself all with DS and not anyone else. She wasn't intrested in myself or H her Other son being in the picture at all. Nor was she intrested in getting a photo of me, h, and DS or Bil, Fil, herself, H, myself, and DS. Just her, Bil, Fil, and our son.

I feel odd with her leaving out the parents of DS. I donno. Maybe because its because Bil was in the picture too.

Is this weird? Or am I being weird?

Obviously not a hill to die on, but still odd right?

    Weird, yes, but I don't think it's worth a confrontation.  I'd probably mull over it quite a few times with DH and maybe have him ask why they didn't want a picture with us and DS, but I don't think I'd take it any further than that...  Who knows her reasoning for wanting that specific picture, but it's her issue and I wouldn't want to touch it with a 10 foot pole at this point.

    I don't get it. nbsp;If she had H in there instead of her other son, I'd think it was rude, but I'd get it. nbsp;Maybe that BIL is her favorite son and your son is her favorite grandchild and she doesn't give a shiit if people know it.


    Ding ding ding!!! I think we have a winner! BIL is her favorite and she doesn't hide it. DS is the only grandchild until December.

    The only reason why I didn't say anything because the expression on Bils face through it was really uncomfortable. Like he thought it was weird too. And it shows in every picture.

    H doesn't pick up on this being weird because he grew up with her crap. He thinks its normal for people to behave like this. Sad.

    I think it's weird.  It would be one thing if she wanted a pic of her, your FIL, and your DS.  That makes sense.  It's the BIL that makes it awkward.

    It's weird, but I would just let it be. Just make sure to set up the pictures you also want in the future.

    Oh we did and do. And like I said its not a hill to die on. Just kinda an eyeroll and a conformation that Mil still is indeed batsh!t.
