Napping

My LO just turned one a week ago.  He always takes a morning nap around 10 for about 2 hours.  Earlier this week he went two days in a row without taking an afternoon nap (I tried putting him down but he never went to sleep).  Just wondering if anyone's dropped to just one nap.  Did your LO drop the morning nap or the afternoon nap?  Did the transition just naturally happen?

    DD is transitioning, she is about to drop her 2nd nap, I think.

    DS is not quite 1 but recently his afternoon nap has only been 30 min. And his morning nap is almost 2 hours. So I think he's pushing his morning nap later to about 11 or 12 and will probably drop the afternoon if anything.

    DS didn't really drop one or the other, he consolidated them from two, one hour naps to one two hour nap from 12pm to 2pm. He's been doing one nap for maybe a month now.

    He's transitioned really well. No really grumpy times, is definitely ready for his nap and bedtime, but without being a total crankpants right before.

    Before he transitioned, he just kept pushing the morning nap later, which pushed the afternoon nap later [sometimes too late]. A few days it got to be about lunchtime and he hadn't napped so we did lunch at 1130 and nap right after and it's been that way ever since!

    I think DS is getting to the point where he is dropping his afternoon nap as well. Three days this week he was not having any part of it, twice the week before.

    He's been taking one 2 hour nap usually from 12 to 2. It's because of daycare. He only goes 3 days a week but this is the schedule they got him on.
