Progesterone shot itchy

Hi,
I've been receiving the progesterone shot weekly now and at the injection spot its been itchy. What do you use to stop the itching?

    I just scratch it gently...mine goes away pretty quickly, usually just a day of itchiness.

    wash the area after the injection as any residue can make the itching worse and massage the area as well. A cold pak also seems to help if it's sore or itchy.

    Mine never started to itch until a few days after I got them, slowly getting itchier and itchier!  I didn't start having issues with the itchyness of them until about 22 weeks.  I always just scratched :) LOL.  The nurse did tell me though, a warm bath after receiving the injection would help.

    You can put benadryl cream or hydrocortizone on the area if it is really bad.

    Mine itch for days and right when one side is starting to stop I get a new shot and the other side itches.  I use ice and then at night when I can't take it I use hydrocortizone cream for bug bites.  It takes the edge off.  Other then that I just itch constantly.  Sucks!
