DH is difficult to shop for, but I so nailed it this year! From DD I got him a snow cone maker and syrup (they get snow cones every weekend from this little stand up the road, but it was taken out by the tornado). From DS (who will arrive any day now) I got him a matching father and son tool belt set. From the dogs I ordered a new pilot headset because DH flies as a hobby. And lastly from me, I got him a little portable television/DVD player for when he does projects in the garage. I know it seems over the top, but DH and I are big savers and don't exchange gifts throughout the year for most occasions (but we do spoil our kids and nieces and nephews for holidays and birthdays) so we like to do nice stuff for each other when the opportunity strikes!

except with train tracks. I promised to get him a lame t-shirt every year...but I try to make them not too lame. It's a tradition passed on for generations
...poor dads, they're hard to buy for. 
I'm actually lucky DH has so many hobbies, so it's kind of easy...

Just wanted to say I thought the ideas were really cute!
We are getting one of the grandpas a ball one baseball. He already has one from us, but my sister is preggers and this is how we will tell our dad. We will combine both balls in 1 case.SPAM
My dad is a huge Yanks fan, so this is perfect.

For Dh's first Father's Day when DS was around 6ms old,I did the DAD photo where I took 3 separate photos with DS holding each letter of the word DAD. The 2nd Father's Day, I had DS "paint" a plain pre-cut photo mat with finger paints and then added a photo & framed it.
This year for DD first father day, I took both of the kids to a paint your own ceramics place and had them do plate with DD footprint as a baseball bat and DS's hand print as a baseball mit. The plate is for DH to put his keys,wallet,etc when he comes home. We also did a coffee mug for work. One side DS did a train with his finger prints to represent him and I had DD do thumb prints on the other side and turned them into little pink and lavender bunnies to represent her. I wrote FATHER"S DAY 2013 on the handle.
