So.... Do these monstrous appetites go away after the babies pop out? I'm scared I won't remember what the words portion control mean anymore!!! I think I may need to retrain myself on eating after this pregnancy!
When you get to the end of 3rd tri there just wasn't a lot of room left in there, so I wasn't able to eat big meals AT ALL. So I think that helped a lot. I remember after DD was born my appetite seemed normal relatively quickly.
Um, I was hungrier and had more cravings postpartum than during pregnancy. It's the breastfeeding.
This but you also burn more calories when you're breast feeding. So even if you are eating a lot, you still burn it off...
But yeah, portion control is on the back burner for a little while longer. Enjoy!

The first two or so weeks after I could hardly eat anything! Then I was back to stuffing my face like I did when of because I EBF and when DD would cluster feed I'd be so hungry I'd become nauseous. I had to eat while I was nursing her just to avoid feeling queasy.
Seriously, there is nothing like the thirst that happens while you are nursing. I honestly think I would have killed for water if I had to while nursing.
Re: Post baby appetite
i had zero, i mean ZERO appetite for 2-3 weeks after birth, then when due to bf'ing i was ravenous again, but it evened out eventually.

Same here. I ate more than I ever had in my life.
