bleeding tmi

I was straining to have a bowel movement I know I am getting stool softener and noticed blood drops I immediately checked both regions and it was vaginal. Not a ton but enough to concern me. I called my OB and he was great....told me it was probably from straining but if it happens again today to come in. No contractions and I have a posterior placenta. Anyone have a similar experience?

It sounds like you might have an anal fissure from the bowel movement which can happen even if you're not pregnant. It'll heal in its own and is nothing to worry about.

Yeah, I have had it happen twice.. Keep an eye on it just in case, but I'm sure everything is fine!

I have had it happen twice this pregnancy. I had NOTHING like that at all with my son, so after having a miscarriage in August it totally freaks me out when it happens. Both times it has just been from too much straining and everything has checked out okay.

Same thing happened to me, got checked out at my appointment which was the next day and it was fine. Haven't had any spotting since, definitely keep an eye on it though!
