We have a self cleaning litter box that hubby empties when needed
Is this only available in the States?! I have not heard of this. Going to google it now! My husband needs reminding constantly. And he has no sense of smell either which makes it much worse for me! X

This is really cool! We bell trained both of our spaniels to let us know when they want to go potty. DH is supposed to pick it up but I'm convinced he just runs it over with the rider.
I have to remind my SO every time the cat goes, as the smell sends me running to puke!! It's getting really hard at the moment as he's working 12 hr shifts : some times the rubber gloves have to come out and a face mask!
I had to continuously remind my DH to empty it when we had a cat for our first pregnancy. He would remember once a week. It was annoying for both of us. I would start putting gloves on and doing it myself.
My DH has done it for as long as we've been ttc our first, so over 4 years ago. He was convinced I shouldn't do it while BFing either, so I haven't done it since lol!
I literally have to nag him!!! Last week I asked him Thursday to change it. He didn't. Friday I said do it today. Didn't again. Finally Saturday was my sister in law's wedding which I was doing her hair and would be with her all day while he was home and sat on his butt. I gave him 2 jobs: change the litter box and clean the toilet. I came home midnight Saturday and it was bad. I was p!ssed!!! I said, I know you sat on your butt all freakin day while I was so busy and you didn't even do this for me. He knew I was fuming. He didnt even respond. It was bad.
He did it in the morning.
He still has to be asked to do it. So I guess in a way, it's still my job! But I'm NOT touching it.
SO happily does it, but he sticks me with extra chores in the morning while he does that! For example, he used to walk the dogs, but now it is my responsibility since he is cleaning kitty poo!
DH started doing the litter when we started TTC. I feel like I have to nag him about changing it because a) he forgets and b) he doesn't feel like doing it (I totally understand that). I hate when I nag at him...
He does it every morning, I'm the one that always used to forget! The Liter Genie is the best idea ever tho, so convenient! It's like a diaper genie for babies, genius.

TTC #3
He started doing it as soon as we found out, without me ever saying anything. The only times I've had to do it are when he's on a business trip.
He's also appointed himself the hair ball-cleaner-upper, which is awesome! She maybe has hairballs once a month if that, but still.
