Diaper rash

My little mister has been lucky and has gone pretty much his whole first year without diaper rash. We transitioned to WCM about 3 weeks ago and he has done fine, but has been a little more gassy and pooping a little more. I didn't think that was such a bad thing because he was always constipated before and had to give him miralax almost daily to keep things moving. However he has been battling a diaper rash for a couple of weeks and I'm wondering if it is just cause he is going more, or if it is from the milk... Anyone have this issue when they made the switch? I've been using diaper cream with every change and will start to look better for a day and then red again..
Thanks for any input/suggestions! :

Re: Diaper rash

  • I have not had an issue with diaper rash and milk but LO jas had it when he does go more. What has helped is giving him some nakey time to air it out. Also cornstarch works great to soak up the moisture.

  • I think it's probably because he is going more. My DS has been going 2-4 times a day since we started giving him three meals a day. I feel like we are always fighting diaper rash because he goes so much. Our pediatrician recommended to not give him juice because that may make him go more. We alternate diaper cream and also give him naked time and that seems to help. Good luck!
