Baby gates for stairs

We are having a really hard time finding a baby gate that works with our stairs. If you have stairs, what has worked for you?

    You need ones that screw into the post, which kinda sucks, or zip tie a piece of wood to the post and screw it into that. We have a cheapie wood one now but when the kids get stronger we may need to upgrade.

    Ps most gates say on the package if they work with stairs or not.
