ASOS Maternity Dresses

Hi ladies - I believe a few of you have ordered maternity clothing, particularly a dress, from ASOS?

If you have, did you order your pre-pregnancy size? Did that fit well or did you get it in a larger size?

I reaaaaally didn't want to spend this much on a dress but ASOS is the only place I can find a dress I like enough to wear for my baby shower. I have about two weeks though so I'm hoping it will fit if I order one.

That's the only place I found one so far that I just loved for my shower. I've never been a huge dress person so this pregnancy is forcing me to be more open minded. I was curious about what size to order also.

  • According to the size chart I was between two sizes, so I went with the larger one just in case.

I should have ordered the smaller size.

While the bigger size worked just fine, I'm pretty sure the smaller size would have been a snugger fit (which I like) and it would have helped my self esteem ;)

  • Know your fabrics. If it is 100% polyester it will not stretch. Jersey, blends, and viscose have a little more give.

I ordered size up and it fit fine and I could wear it throughout my pregnancy with no problem.

  • I have ordered up a size with all their stuff and it works great for me.

  • I ordered one but haven't gotten it yet. I am a size 6 pre PG but I ordered a size 8 maternity. So hopefully all goes well. If not they have a free return shipping policy.

I'm the same size and was thinking of doing the same thing. I like that they have that free shipping policy. I'm also considering ordering two sizes and returning the one that doesn't fit.

Thanks for all the input ladies!

  • I ordered my pre-pg size.  It fit perfectly at 20 weeks.  The only place it was a little tight was in the sleeve/cuffs (it had a 3/4 length sleeve) and I don't think that had anything to do with me being pg.  I would say if it isn't a stretchy material or really flowy design, you may want to go up a size. I am worried that mine might be a bit tight when I try it again next weekend (at 30 weeks).
