What are your plans for this weekend? How many of you are/will be affected by Tropical Storm Andrea today & tomorrow? Hope that doesn't ruin your weekend plans.

We are traveling about 7 hours by car today and returning Sunday. When my Nana passed a little over a year ago, our family donated to her church to have the roof repaired and an awning built. This weekend they are having the dedication of the awning in my Nana's name. It will be good to see my grandfather and the rest I my family, but a long weekend of travel.

I've currently got a little one glued to my boob, after an epic meltdown about an hour and a half ago.....she's really not a crier, so these moments are never easy. Hopefully the day gets better.
My family is supposed to be coming over for dinner tonight.....tomorrow we have my nephews bday party and nothing on tap for Sunday as of right now. I would love to go out and do something fun, but feel like we should actually be productive and get things done around the house instead.....
We will see which side wins out!

We're expecting the remnants of the storm here overnight and through tomorrow morning. Our area frequently has moderate floods with heavy rains (although thankfully, not our neighborhood), so there's a good chance of the roads being a mess on Saturday. I suspect we'll be spending the day at home cleaning and continuing with our baby-proofing efforts, now that DD has figured out how to open drawers and cupboard doors.
Sunday should be a little nicer, so we'll likely be out doing yard work for a bit, as we're trying to make our house look more presentable (we've been the unkempt house on our street for too long! LOL)

No big plans for tonight. Just tv watching and hanging out with friends.
Tomorrow DH and I (and Hannah too) are going to a marksmenship challenge. It's an outdoor adventure men group. Basically you get to shoot things. Shotguns, paintball guns, pistols, rifle, bow and arrow, and crossbows. I'm actually really looking forward to it. My dad and mom will be there as well so it'll give somebody a chance to watch Hannah. Which will likely be my mom lol.
Than Saturday afternoon more work on our backyard. (I feel like I write that down every Friday
) But it's coming along
Sunday a shower for DH's cousin. Who's getting married in September, I find it weird that they are having a shower so early but whatever. So lots going on! lol

Tomorrow is the ILs wedding anniversary lunch, located at a restaurant an hour away. I need to get M's food ready. I still haven't gotten around to buy those disposable placemats, ugh! Don't think we'll do much else tomorrow afterwards.
Sunday we are getting together with our friends and their 5 month-old daughter. We were hoping to meet up once a month but our weekends have been so packed that we haven't seen them for 2 months now. It should be fun!

I couldn't be happier for the weekend to be here. I have been sick most of the week after catching this cold from DS who was sick last week. Unfortunately because I'm a PA in surgery it's not always so easy to call out sick and wouldn't you know this week would be slammed!
I'm looking forward to sleeping in and relaxing. We do have another wedding to attend in SF tomorrow. I just hope I'm feeling better.
Otherwise the weather is supposed to be nice and hot here.
Kaf I always see your posts about studying but realized I have no clue what you are studying for.

We are packing up this weekend. We are moving in with my parents (15min away) for the next two to three weeks. We are having the popcorn scraped off the ceiling, carpet removed, several rooms painted, and our lighting evaluated and remedied (one crappy bulb to service our whole Den (495sqft). We are also getting our speakers mounted in wall. To top it off we are having engineered hardwood installed everywhere but the bathroom, bedrooms, and laundry room. It is a huge job and we just cant live in the mess at this stage.
So that is my story for this weekend...fun!
