Oh my! You guys have really smart, crafty kids! N still hasn't figured out door knobs so I can still lock her in the toy room while I get ready if she's too active for the bathroom haha
If I have the back main door open and the screen door closed by dog can open the screen door lol.
Gator hasn't figured out doorknobs in our house yet. They are all round so I think they are a little harder than one handle ones tha you can just pull down. However our back screen door is a lever and now that we have a kiddie pool in the backyard, I keep having to remind SO to lock the screen door. He says since she cannot open it, it doesn't need to be locked. I said "seriously? You want to take that change that you don't lock it and it just so happens she figured out the handle and we find her in the pool?" He got the major side eye from me and now he locks it.
I dread the day that she can figure out how to open doors!
This terrifies me. DD can turn the knob, but not reach the deadbolt. When she can, we'll have to install hotel-style chain locks at the top of the door.
We live on the second floor, so while DD won't run directly into the street if she gets out, it could still be a messy tumble down the stairs before she get to our back alley.
I am dreading the day that L figures out how to turn a doorknob. If she wants to go in/out of somewhere, she will put her hand on the doorknob but doesn't quite understand (yet) how to open it.. I am hoping she does this for the next 18 years haha.
Our yard has a chain link fence out front. For now it keeps her in, but we were at a party the other day at a house with a chain link fence and the women was teaching DD how to open and close it...wtf lady. She can open pull down doors and some door knobs, but I don't think she has quite figured out how to turn the dead blots.
Re: Dirty rotten kid
Truth. I hate the reminders that they are getting older.
