Beat all the boys in my crossfit workout today!

My class this morning was me and four men, I finished the workout before all of them! It was a long one my time was 37 minutes but I think being pregnant makes me better at pacing. I don't go all out then burnout like they did. Felt so good! I love second trimester, lol

  • Woohoo!  We were working on 1 rep max for a number of movements when I was around 14 weeks and I got a few new PRs.

Just wait until you're third trimester and panting while you snatch a 45 lb bar around your massive bump :(

  • Nice! I PR'd a lot of my lifts while pregnant, and learned how to kip pull ups right at the end ofm y first tri.  I was still beating people and RX'ing most workouts until 32ish weeks, then I slowed down ALOT.

Just watch your form as you get bigger; I'm having to relearn a lot of mechanics since I did them incorrectly while pregnant (such as cleans, even my kip is sort of off, etc). I stopped doing snatches around 6 months when I started getting a belly because the form killed me!  But trust me sticking through this will make a world of difference. I had a csection and I continued to push moderately hard throughout my pregnant, and I was running up and down stairs 5 days PP (when we got back from the hospital), driving at 8 days PP and ran at 14 days PP.  I'm sure if you deliver vaginally your recovering will be even faster!!
