Sorry for that DD/Stereotype these names?

Sorry, I tried to edit to say that I had posted on the wrong board, but TB wouldn't let me edit, and I deleted because I didn't want you guys wading through that and being like "WTF does this have to do with names?". I know it's crappy and I'm sorry about the confusion. I was running both a post for my new BMB and a Stereotype BNB post at the same time and apparently got them confused.

Anyway, want to stereotype/opinion a few names?

Girls:

Catherine Claudia

Persephone Jane (or Anne, we are undecided)

Evangeline Inez

Lydia Margaret (possibly Margaret Lydia)

Boys:

Benedict Leonard (nn, if used, will be Ned, not Ben)

Beauregard James

John Leonard

While I like the name Persephone, I wouldn't name a daughter after a woman who made a really bad decision and got trapped in "hell." I like all the other girl names, except Margaret.

The boy names are a little much for me.

I'm totally with the PP on the "persephone" name espically. A close guy friend suggested it, and I do like the name, but I just couldn't do it.

I like Persephone Jane and Evangeline Inez.

I like Benedict (and the NN Ned) but paired with Leonard it sounds too much like Benedict Arnold. I'd use Benedict James instead.

Beauregard is very Southern too me, it is fine if you live there, but it would seem very out of place in a different region of the country.

I love the names Catherine, Jane, Evangeline, Lydia, and Margaret. Favorite combo is probably Lydia Jane? Or Margaret Jane?

And I love the name James. The others are NMS. Suggestions...

I feel like Persephone is a bit too much of a name. And it honestly isn't pretty to me. I love Catherine, Claudia, Evangeline and Lydia though I would pair them Claudia Jane/Evangeline, Catherine Lydia as my two fav's I think. I don't care for Benedict at all- similarly to Persephone its just trying too hard I think. I prefer Beauregard nn Beau to John Leonard

John Leonard makes me immediately think of John Legend. Benedict and Beauregard sound very Waspy, trying too hard to me.

Your girls names are pretty but cannot get behind Persephone or Inez. Jane, Catherine, Claudia, Evangeline, Margaret and Lydia are all great names.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, the boh name pretty much has to be a B name, John is our 'wild and crazy buck tradition'boy name. Benedict and Beauregard, the nn would be Beau, are pretty much the only two B names we really like that aren't taken. Someone on here actually suggested the Ned nn, which is great because H goes by Ben, and I really do like it with James. Leonard, Dale, and James are all grandfather names, and contentions for mn spots. As far as Persephone goes, I heard it on the new Upstairs/Downstairs and thought it was kind of cool -- and H fell in love with it. It is a bit much, but I'm just doodling around to see if I can make it work. Inez and Claudia aare both grandmother names, a tually Claudia is for Gladys, she hates Gladys,

My BFFs grandmothers name is Evangeline and she goes by Vanni and I think that's adorable so I would vote Evangeline
