Lately, since learning to crawl and becoming mobile, LO has just blossomed and really turned into a happy baby. He has such a little personality. He was never a bad baby...although first few months were rough with the GERD, milk allergy, and other issues. However, now he is just such a little person with his own little personality and likes and dislikes. He loves to crawl and the funniest thing is when I tell him no (usually because he is trying to get at something we don't want him to have like some miniscule scrap of paper he found on the floor or something) and come toward him to pick him up, he will shriek and start darting (by crawling) away from me at a fast pace. I try not to reward the "crawl away from Mommy" behavior, but it really is cute.
Also, when we feed him a food he really likes, he will inhale it and then when the food is gone even take the spoon and like it over and over again as if in his mind he thinks the food will come back if he licks it enough...or maybe he just wants to be sure to get every little bite. And I love it when he says, "Mama." He usually only says it if he really wants to get me or DH's attention. Still, it is my new favorite word. And there are a million other things. The way he loves to constantly bounce. His shriek. His laugh. He dances when other people dance or someone on t.v. dances.
So, am I right? Is the hard part over? Is there where it gets fun? I just want this stage to last for forever.
Re: Is this where it gets really fun?

May 2014 January Siggy Challenge:
LO is nine months.
First 2 months were really rough because he had IUGR and was slightly early and had GERD and milk protein allergy. All of this equated to not much sleep and a lot of crying by all. At 3 months he started STTN and life got much better. 3-6 months he was fun. 6-8.5 months, he was cranky because he wanted to go, but couldn't. Now he is a hoot! I just want it to last and last!
