I see this name at the top of every official name list but don't know any myself and didn't see it mentioned in the last 15 or so pages here and search sucks.
So my question is, is this name really that popular in your community, and is it popular for babies or more for 47 year olds and I'd be coming late to the party by using it? Thanks!

DD is named Emma and although I love the name, it is really popular just about everywhere. DH and I are living in the UK and come across the name quite frequently.
I agree with other PPs- if you love the name, use it. I couldn't imagine DD with any of the other names we were tossing around.

sibling love
I went to high school with an Emma (in the late 90s/early 00s) and I know one baby (9m old) named Emma. That's all.
If you love the name, use it. We named DD a name we loved, it just happened to be a popular one. Doesn't bother me.
