Another Intro

I've been lurking for awhile now, but now that I've been pretty much ordered to rest (I just got back from my trip to the ER/Hospital with a case of mastitis. yee haw) I thought I would take some time to introduce myself and my LO.

My baby was born May 24th, his original due date was July 7th so he was about 6 weeks early. It was my fault though, not his. I have a lot of health issues so I knew they would have me deliver early but I didn't realize HOW early until I developed Cholestasis. So within a week of being diagnosed my c-section was moved way up.

Ezra Parker was born and he was 4 lbs 10.8 oz and 18.75 inches long. So really not that bad for a preemie. But he still had to be intubated with a CPAP had some antibiotics and other fluids. I was very out of it the first few days he was born (due to my MANY health issues they had to use general anestheia), but I do remember holding him the night he was born! He's been making really great progress up until they finally allowed us to board in a room with him! But he is still eating really well, currently my husband is bottle feeding him and he just ate the WHOLE bottle! Which is amazing because he's only done that once before! But he had to go back on oxygen which is such a bummer because he was doing so well! So thoughts and prayers for my little fighter! And I look forward to chatting with you ladies about your little ones as well

Congrats and welcome! My little girl was also born on May 24th and I was due July 8th. We're currently in a step down unit and trying to patiently wait for her to master eating. Finishing a full bottle is awesome! You must be so proud of your LO.
