Awwww, that's so exciting! Mine is just finishing 1st grade and entering 2nd in the fall (eeekkk) so i was there not that long ago, remember it like it was yesterday.
I cried and smiled all in the same day. I remember putting her on the bus and I was thinking "what the heck! she's too little for this!!" and I broke down when the bus left- I swore when she came home, I would never see her because she would get off the wrong stop or something haha (she didn't). And she came home "that was the best day of my life!"
I hope your little one loves it, too! They grow so fast..
My DS started kindergarten last September. And he went wearing diapers.
Okay, it's German kindergarten, which starts at three years old over here. He does go five days a week, five-six hours a day. It was challenging at first, especially because of the language difference, but he really enjoys it and is learning German.
i am hopeful that this experience will make his (American) kindergarten experience less stressful for us both.

DS will be starting preschool for the new school year and I am soooo scared. He has been in daycare for the past 2 years which we both loved. He turned 3 and I still consider him my little baby but he is one tough kiddo. I will start off by dropping him in the mornings and he takes the bus after school which will take him to his present daycare and I pick him up from the daycare after work. I just know I will be boo hoo bawling the first few days of school.
Re: Anyone else's DC starting kindergarten this year?
